“Imori Pond” is located at the foot of Myoko Mountain in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture.
The arrival of Mizubasho signals the beginning of spring in this snowy region.  The scenic view of Mt. Myoko is very popular along with the colourful autumn leaves.

It is said that hundreds of thousands of Mizubasho bloom in the wetlands around Imori Pond.
There is a walking path around the pond, so you can observe the Mizubasho while taking a walk.
The best time to see the Mizubasho is usually from mid-April to early May but it varies depending on the amount of snow that has fallen during winter.

If the weather is good, you might be able to see Mt. Myoko reflected in Imori Pond.

Why don’t you enjoy the trickling sounds of snow melting in the background as you appreciate the arrival of spring?
