1.Features of slopes and courses

Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort is a 10-minute drive from the Myoko Plateau IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway, spreading out at the foot of Mt.

It features long and wide slopes with a maximum run distance of 8.5 kilometers.

There are a total of 16 courses (40% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 20% advanced), 80% of which are for beginners and intermediate levels, and are recommended for beginners and families.This season, as part of the “Kids Free Program,” all-day lift and gondola fares are always free for children up to 6th grade.

Lake Nojiri spreads out below from the slopes, and on clear days, there is a spot called “Special View Point” where you can see Mt.In addition, Sugi Park, located on the Panorama Slope, offers a wide variety of rails, boxes, and other items to satisfy both beginner and advanced skiers.

2.Events

Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort holds an event where visitors can enjoy the first morning of skiing before the opening of the ski resort, when no one has skied on the freshly-skied slopes.Scheduled five times during the season, you can ski the course along the Suginohara gondola for a reasonable price.

2024 New Year’s Day sunrise fast track
Date: January 1 (Monday, holiday) 6:30-8:30
Place to ski:Suginohara Zone
Fees: 2000 yen for junior high school students and older, 1000 yen for elementary school students
Description: Held for the first time in four years. Let’s enjoy the first track one hour longer than usual while watching the first sunrise to pray for everyone’s health and happiness.

SUGI Fast Track
Dates: January 14, 28, February 4, 11, 18 (all Sundays) 7:30-8:30
Fees: Junior high school students and older: 2,000 yen, elementary school students: 1,000 yen, SPC members: 1,700 yen, season ticket holders: 1,700 yen
Place to ski:Suginohara Zone
Description: You can ski the groomed burn first thing in the morning.

Kids Snow Treasure Hunt
Date: January 21, February 18, March 17 (all Sundays) Numbered tickets distributed from 12:00 p.m., treasure hunt starts from 1:00 p.m.
*3rd Sunday of every month
Venue: Special venue at Parking Lot 1
Fee: Free of charge
Target: Elementary school students and younger (first 50 students)

2024 Dynamite Carnival in SUGINOSAWA
Date: Saturday, January 20
Venue: Special venue at Parking Lot 1
Description: A traditional event of the Suginosawa area, the Sai-no-kami, is held and fireworks are launched to color the winter night sky.
