About a 30-minute drive from downtown Nagano City lies Iizuna Resort Ski Area in Iizuna Town, Kamiinai District, Nagano Prefecture.

This compact yet diverse ski resort offers a variety of courses to enjoy for all skill levels, from beginners to experts. Features include a long course spanning 2,500 meters, natural powder snow courses, and a flat run approximately 100 meters wide (Beginner: 40%, Intermediate: 40%, Advanced: 20%).
Night skiing is also available. Glide down the slopes while taking in the sparkling night views and fantastical illuminated scenery—an experience guaranteed to move you. Enjoy a full four hours from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Additionally, the Kids Park area—recommended for family snow play—features a 70-meter moving walkway, allowing visitors to enjoy sledding to their heart’s content.

At the Polar Bear restaurant inside Plaza Aurora near Kids Park, you’ll find menus featuring local specialty apples and a wide variety of gourmet dishes that let you savor the flavors of Iizuna Town.
Our recommendation is the “Baked Curry” for ¥1200 (tax included). It’s mildly spicy and generously loaded with vegetables like shimeji mushrooms, bell peppers, and broccoli.
