Kasuga Shrine is loved as a local god. It is a spin-off of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara.
It is said to have originated at the peak of Mt. Kasuga in 958 during the Heian period. It has a history of 600 years since it relocated to its present location.
The new shrine is 1.4 times larger than before. The walls and ceiling are brightly and openly finished with plenty of cypress and Akita cedar. It is fully equipped with air conditioning and heating. The renovation cost is about 126 million yen. A lot of equipment was renewed by collecting donations from local companies and Ujiko.
Kazama Guji said, “The fact that the company was renewed at the turning point of the Rewa era era since Heisei is an historic event.”
This area, including Mt. Kasuga, is a perfect spot for visiting power spots. Please go out.
