Christmas-only events such as an underwater dolphin performance featuring a trainer dressed as Santa Claus have begun at the Joetsu City Aquatic Museum Umigatari in Niigata Prefecture.
In a Christmas-only performance, two dolphins, “Arch” and “Mavis,” perform underwater to Christmas songs with a trainer dressed as Santa Claus.
The highlight is a new technique, the “Dolphin Tree”. The dolphins and trainers are made to look like Christmas trees.
The dolphins and the trainer also have synchronized techniques.
In this dolphin performance, we will show you the heartwarming bond between the dolphins and their trainer, so please come and meet the dolphins of Umigatari.
A 4-meter-high Christmas tree has been installed in the museum and decorated with penguins wearing Santa Claus hats, creating a Christmas-like atmosphere.
