Eight new go-karts have been installed at Gochi Kotsu Park in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, and are available for use from Tuesday, July 25. How is the ride?

This is the newly introduced go-kart for two. There are eight in total. They are 2 meters and 40 centimeters in length and powered by a Honda engine with a displacement of 163 liters.

The first 50 free ride tickets were given out that day and were gone in 10 minutes.

Old go-carts that have been decommissioned

The park used to have 10 go-carts, but due to aging, all were scrapped and replaced this time. The maximum speed of the go-carts is 20 km/h.

The course in the park is 730 meters long and has various signs to help visitors learn the rules of the road.

The go-karts were used by 32,289 people last year. It will be open every day except Mondays until next month on the 25th. After that, it will be open only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until November 30. Fees are 110 yen per ride for junior high school students and younger, and 210 yen per ride for high school students and older. Children under 3 years old are not allowed to ride go-carts. Second grade elementary school students and younger may ride with two persons of junior high school age or older.
