Picking up trash like a game? Participants in the “Seisouchu” campaign are being recruited(Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture)

In September, the “Seisouchu Joetsu version” event will be held at Umiterasu Nadachi, a roadside station in Nadachi- Ward, Joetsu City, where people can enjoy picking up trash as if it were a game.We are currently looking for participants.

“Seisouchu” was organized by Tokyo-based company Gab Inc. and is a game-like trash pickup event that combines trash pickup with a game.

Points will be awarded based on the level of achievement in completing missions notified on line while collecting trash in the city, as well as the type and weight of trash picked up by the teams working together.This is a remarkable content that allows people of all ages to think about garbage issues by picking up garbage in a fun, game-like way.

In addition to the 10 or so previous events held in Nagano Prefecture, this year’s event was also held in Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Yamanashi Prefectures, where many people participated and had a great time.

This will be the first time that the “Seisouchu” event will be held in Niigata Prefecture.We will pick up trash along a 500 meter stretch of coastline from the pocket beach at Umiterasu Nadachi toward Itoigawa.

Let’s have fun cleaning up the streets and beaches around Umiterasu Nadachi with a game-like atmosphere.　Those interested or wishing to participate should check the website.

■Admission: ¥1,000 for adults, ¥500 for children (high school and college students and younger), free for preschool children
