Two tours will be operated in September, jointly planned by the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line and the Echigo Tokimeki Railway.  Reservations began to be accepted on Thursday, 29th, July.

This is a tour where you can take a trial ride on “Setsugekka” and tour the chartered “Naoetsu D51 Rail Park” on September 3rd (Friday).

On this tour, you can experience the “Setsugekka” on the Hokuhoku Line. The boarding section is between Tokamachi Station and Naoetsu Station.  After that, you can visit the chartered “Naoetsu D51 Rail Park” and enjoy a steam locomotive experience ride.

September 3rd (Friday) schedule

A special train “Let’s drink while riding on the craft beer train “B-train”, will be operated on Saturday, September 11th. Beer experts will talk about the charm of craft beer during the journey.

September 11th (Sat) schedule

Departing from Naoetsu Station, while drinking a welcome beer, experts will teach you the basics for drinking delicious craft beer. At the Tokamachi dining venue, you can enjoy a comparison of four types of craft beer and nine types of snack plates while listening to the brewer’s story, and enjoying the ride.  On the way back, the local beer “Tsumaari Beer” from Tokamachi City is available.

Hokuetsu Express says, “It’s difficult to go far because of COVID-19.  Although the departure point is different, we have planned a tour that you can enjoy along the Hokuhoku Line.  Please enjoy these tours.”
