Togakushi Ski Resort is located about 30 minutes by car from the Shinano-machi Interchange on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of Nagano Prefecture, it caters to a wide range of skiers and snowboarders from beginners to advanced. It features a diverse selection of 19 courses (30% beginner, 40% intermediate, 30% advanced).
From the summit area at an elevation of 1,748 meters, you can capture the majestic Togakushi mountain range directly ahead. The expansive 360-degree panorama is indescribably beautiful. The distant peaks of the Northern Alps stretch out, and on clear days, you can even see Mount Fuji from this popular viewpoint.
The ski slopes spanning the foothills of Mount Menou and Mount Kenashi offer diverse courses that make the most of the terrain. From the snow-play Kids Park and beginner-friendly trails to ungroomed powder runs and mogul courses that draw skilled skiers, the uniquely varied terrain ensures endless fun.

The four courses facing the ski resort entrance each have their own distinct features, making them ideal for practicing moguls, uneven terrain, and groomed slopes. On days with deep snow accumulation, you can enjoy surprisingly light, premium powder snow. Low temperatures prevent melting, ensuring consistently excellent snow quality.
Both skiing and snowboarding offer gentle beginner-friendly slopes where you can quickly board the lift. The mountaintop, boasting a 360-degree panoramic view, is accessible to beginners who have gained some confidence on the slopes, allowing them to fully enjoy the great outdoors.
Ninja Slope
The wildly popular beginner course “Ninja Slope” features various attractions themed around training. You’ll naturally pick up the movements needed for skiing and improve while having fun.
The Kids Park features a fully automated 30-meter moving walkway. After sliding, you can hop on the walkway with your skis still on to move around. The area is divided into separate sections for sledding and skiing, ensuring safety.

Raclette Cheese Lunch 2300 yen (tax included)
The top recommendation at “Alpen Dining Yanagiran” next to the 6th Lift Station is their “Raclette.” This exquisite dish features piping hot cheese served over a selection of meats and vegetables, a signature menu item you won’t find at other ski resorts.
