Approximately 20 minutes by car from either the Joshinetsu Expressway’s Myoko Kogen IC or Nakago IC. Seki Onsen Ski Resort is located adjacent to Seki Onsen in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, at an elevation of 900 to 1200 meters.

Located in one of Japan’s heaviest snowfall regions, this ski resort offers deep powder runs. It’s a popular destination where skiers and snowboarders from around the world gather in search of high-quality powder snow.

Despite its compact size, the slopes feature an engaging course layout that makes the most of the terrain (30% beginner, 40% intermediate, 30% advanced). Primarily consisting of moderate to steep slopes, it offers thrilling skiing.

The advanced “Silver Fan Course” is left completely ungroomed to offer the steepest slopes and finest powder snow within the Myōkō Mountain Range. Come spring, parts of it transform into mogul-like terrain, creating an irresistible course for expert skiers.

The deep powder snow is highly praised, and the resort offers a wide range of activities perfect for those who want to enjoy the mountains to the fullest, including a snowboard halfpipe and jump ramps. Powder board test rides are also available.

After working up a sweat, you can enjoy day-trip bathing at Seki Onsen or Tsubame Onsen, both featuring 100% natural spring water flowing directly from the source. This ski resort is perfect for those who want to enjoy both skiing and hot springs.
