Transfer\u00a0trains and collect all eight types of train cards!<\/h2>\r\n

“Railway Cards<\/strong>“, which are popular with railroad fans and card collectors, became available from October 1st (Thursday) at local railways in Niigata Prefecture.

\r\nThe front side of the railway card introduces the routes that run in Niigata Prefecture. \u00a0Pictures of trains running through beautiful scenery for each season are presented.\u00a0 The back side features explanations about the route, and these cards would appeal to any collector.<\/p>\r\n

For this year, a total of eight types of cards will be available. \u00a0Yonesaka Line, Iiyama Line, Hokuhoku Line, Myoko Haneuma Line, Nihonkai-Hisui Line, Oito Line, and two new lines, Echigo Line and Tadami Line, will be added.<\/p>\r\n

On\u00a0the front sides of the cards, photos representative of each line are used, such as trains running next to snow fields and trains stopping at the station with the sea in the background.\u00a0 The six routes distributed last year have been redesigned this year.<\/p>\r\n

The\u00a0cards are distributed by the Niigata Prefecture Railway Development Promotion Council for the purpose of increasing the number of railway users in the prefecture.\u00a0 There is one type of card for each route, and only 1,000 cards will be available.<\/p>\r\n

The\u00a0cards are only available at one location for each line, and you can get a card by showing your ticket to the station staff at the ticket gate.\u00a0 However, the Tadami Line is available at the facility \u201cUonuma \/ Urasa Station Tourist Information Center MYU\u201d near the station.\u00a0 Only on this route, you can get a card by showing the image of the ticket.\u00a0 The period of availability is until December 31st (Thursday).<\/p>\r\n
