<\/a><\/p>\r\n100th Kenshin Festival<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n \u25a0Date: August 23 (Sat) and 24 (Sun) <\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n A pre-festival event will be held around Kasugayama Shrine to commemorate the Kenshin Festival.<\/p>\r\n 6:30 p.m. ~ Lantern parade (Buried Cultural Properties Center to Kasugayama Shrine \/ Kasuga Elementary School and Takashi Elementary School students) <\/p>\r\n The 100th anniversary of the Kasugayama Intersection on the Sanroku Line will be celebrated with a \u201cNational Military Commander Performance,\u201d as well as the main events of the festival, the \u201cDeparture Parade\u201d and \u201cReenactment of the Battle of Kawanakajima.\u201d Various stage events will also be held at the Joetsu Cultural Center.<\/p>\r\n 16:00\uff5e Performance by the National Military Commanders (Yamaro Line, Kasugayama Intersection) <\/p>\r\n *The \u201cWater Battle\u201d has been canceled due to water shortages.<\/strong><\/span> 9:00 a.m. – Kennou Mai Gassen (Buried Cultural Properties Center to the statue of Kenshin at Kasugayama Castle Ruins) <\/p>\r\n Gather! Kasugayama Entenka<\/span><\/p>\r\n In conjunction with the Kenshin Festival, a two-day event featuring the best of Joetsu’s gourmet cuisine will be held on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24. The event will feature a variety of activities, including gourmet food, workshops, stage events, hands-on experiences, and games.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

\r\nBefore the battle, events such as the \u201cTakemikazuchi Ritual,\u201d in which prayers for victory are offered to the gods and Buddhas, \u201cThe Ceremony of Offering Salt to Lord Kenshin,\u201d \u201cThe Dedication Performance,\u201d and \u201cThe Great Folk Dance Procession of Lord Kenshin\u201d will be held. Additionally, at the Joetsu Cultural Center, the \u201cSamurai Troop Grand Battle ~ Echigo Joetsu Summer Campaign ~\u201d will feature powerful martial arts performances by samurai troops from across the country, and the \u201cKenshin Festival Music Festival\u201d will be held with performances by Takashi Elementary School, Kasuga Elementary School, and Kasuga Middle School.<\/p>\r\n
