It was salty.<br \/>\r\n\u201cDelicious. Chewy.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>According to the Suginosawa Tourist Association, approximately 1,200 people visited the venue that day, 60% of whom were foreign tourists from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. <a class=\"swipebox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0121_00007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-272456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0121_00007-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Still0121_00007\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0121_00007-400x225.jpg\" \/><\/a>From Australia<br \/>\r\nI read that Dondoyaki is &#8216;for health and prosperity.&#8217;<br \/>\r\n\u201cIt was beautiful.
