More than 1,000 people from inside and outside the city lined up to buy \u201cchinkoro,\u201d a lucky charm for the New Year. Today, the market is popular for the sale of \u201cchinkoro,\u201d a good-luck charm for the koshogatsu (New Year&#8217;s Day). Chinkoro is made of kneaded Kamishinko flour that is steamed into the shape of a puppy or the Chinese zodiac sign of the year.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00004.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-214722\" src=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00004-716x403.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00004-400x225.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>Around 10:00 a.m., when the sales began, about 1,000 people from the city and beyond formed a long line at the venue in search of chinchoros.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00022.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-214729\" src=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00022-716x403.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"798\" height=\"449\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/tokamachi.yukiguni.town\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Still0112_00022-400x225.png\" \/><\/a>A woman visiting from the city<br \/>\r\nLast year, there was quite a line even though I came at around 8:30 a.m. I came much earlier this year, but the line was the same. I bought nine items, including a rabbit, a cat, a dog, and a snake. This year was amazing. I sprinkled gold powder on it to bring good luck in money, and I also made a long snake to make people live longer in terms of health. Each piece is handmade so that the buyer&#8217;s wish will come true, so each piece has a different expression.
