The feathers are collected during the annual \u201cfeather change\u201d season, washed and processed by Joetsu Working Network, an organization that supports the independence of disabled people in Joetsu City, and produced by M.A.C. Co.<\/p>\r\n

Like the Magellanic penguin, which is said to have the deepest pair bond among penguins, the key chain was created in the hope that it will be a tool to foster attachment to \u201cJoetsu.<\/p>\r\n \u3002Inside the keychain is a pair of missing Magellanic penguin feathers that have been cleaned and processed one by one. The feathers come in two colors: black and white. The pattern of the feathers changes depending on the position of the penguin’s body, which means that there is also the fun of imagining which part of the body the feather is from.<\/p>\r\n This is the first time that Umitagari will sell products using penguin feathers.
