Nakamachi, Joetsu City<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>This tour is organized by the local Oshima Group in order for people to experience the history and culture of Joetsu, while also tasting the town\u2019s unique ingredients. \u00a0There are thirteen tours, all of which start with lunch at the Japanese restaurant \u201cRyotei Ukiyo\u201d.<br \/>\r\n<a \u201cliquor\u201d, \u201ccraftsmanship\u201d, \u201chistoric shops\u201d, and \u201cGoze\u201d. \u00a0Each tour includes the Gangi (covered walkway) and Machiya (traditional townhouses) in the Takada visiting \u201cHayashi Tominaga Tei(mansion)\u201d, a designated cultural property in Joetsu City.\u00a0 You can enjoy the fermented sweets at the cafe which opened in June, while looking at the thatched roof and the garden of Karesansui (a Japanese rock garden).<\/p>\r\n<p>In addition, there are tours where you can experience craftsmanship. With the double discount of &#8220;Tsunagu Niigata Niigata Prefectural Limited Support&#8221; and &#8220;GoTo Travel Business Support&#8221;, the actual payment amount of the tour fee is from 6,890 yen to 11,700 yen, and up to half the price is subsidized. In addition, there is a cashback of 3,000 yen on the day for Niigata citizens only.
