sold at the long-established \u201cMaruto Utasiro Confectionery\u201d in Ogata Ward, Joetsu City.\u00a0 Ogata Ward&#8217;s specialty &#8220;Fig&#8221; is canned so that it can be eaten all year center;\">The Photo is an image of the figs<\/p>\r\n<p>The figs are cultivated by the local residents of Ogata Ward using the native species, Hosaishi.\u00a0 Maruto Utasiro confectionery finishes it in a syrup.\u00a0 The production method has not changed.\u00a0 The figs are harvested in early September and soaked in a syrup made of granulated sugar and water for about 3 months.\u00a0 It uses no
