Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, will hold its winter event, “Corridor of Light,” on February 17 (Saturday) and 24 (Saturday), with approximately 100,000 candles decorating the snow-covered landscape, at different venues.<\/p>\r\n

The event will be held in Urakawahara, Maki, and the newly added Sanwa Ward on February 17 and 24. On Saturday the 24th, the event will be held in Yasuzuka, Oshima, Takashi, and Nadachi wards.<\/p>\r\n

Uragawara Snow Light Festa (Urakawara Ward)

\r\nVenues: Enmusubi Teahouse (in front of the former Snow Control Center), Oguro Ippuku Teahouse (in the parking garage under the stone steps of Senkeiji Temple), Cupid Teahouse (Cupid Valley Center House), Hosono Venue
\r\nContents: In addition to lighting candles around the venues and along the roadside, snow teahouses will be held at the above three locations. At Cupid Valley, the Yamanoue Snow Festival will be held, and fireworks over the snow will be displayed from 8:00 p.m.
