A mountain resort boasting abundant snowfall and one of the best powder areas in Japan<\/h2>\r\n

Access to the ski resort is also attractive, as it is only a 7-minute drive from the Arai Smart IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway.<\/p>\r\n

The name of the ski resort has been changed from “Lotte Alai Resort” to “Alai Snow Resort” this season.<\/p>\r\n

The resort is based on the concept of a “genuine luxury mountain resort,” and was awarded Japan’s Best Ski Resort 2020 at the World Ski Awards in the past.<\/p>\r\n

It is one of Asia’s top-class resort facilities recognized around the world.<\/p>\r\n

The slopes are vast and are known as a sanctuary of powder snow, with 80% of the running area being unpaved.<\/p>\r\n

The highest point on the slopes is 1280 meters above sea level.<\/p>\r\n

The longest run is 7 km, and there are 14 courses (36% beginner, 36% intermediate, 21% advanced, 7% super advanced) with a variety of courses from beginner to advanced.<\/p>\r\n

The non-pressured freeriding zone, which boasts an overwhelming amount of snow and is one of the largest in Japan, has a total of 10 areas (20% intermediate, 60% advanced, and 20% super advanced).<\/p>\r\n

However, there are some courses that cannot be skied depending on the season, such as in early spring.<\/p>\r\n

This season, we are starting a “Snow Guiding Service” in which guides will show you recommended powder areas depending on the weather and conditions of the day.<\/p>\r\n

Experienced and locally knowledgeable guides will guide you according to the weather and snow conditions on the slopes that day and the skill level of the user.<\/p>\r\n

It is also recommended for those who want to try and enjoy freeriding in the future.<\/p>\r\n

There is also an English Guiding Course for foreigners.<\/p>\r\n

There is a wide range of activities other than skiing and snowboarding.<\/p>\r\n

In the “HIZUME” snow experience area, visitors can enjoy 15 different items such as tubing, sledding, and air-boarding (2,000 yen for 90 minutes).<\/p>\r\n

Other activities include a kids’ garden, snow drive tours, snow rafting, zip tours, and giant kamakura making, as well as an indoor playground, craft experience, and indoor swimming pool, even in bad weather.<\/p>\r\n

The magnificent location of the Ookenashi Mountain and the view of the ocean on a clear day make for an unparalleled experience.<\/p>\r\n
