style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Photograph: July 31, 2020<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>At the Takada Castle Site Park, where lotus flowers are in full bloom, a \u201cSotouren\u201d has been found. \u00a0A \u201cSotouren\u201d is a lotus which has two flowers attached to one stem.\u00a0 It has been seen for the first time in two years, and has become a hot topic. \u00a0\u201cSotouren\u201d has yet to bloom as of August 2nd .<\/p>\r\n<p><!-- x-tinymce\/html --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-119849\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/92d8eff38dec76e900561ee4eb65ef19.jpg\" alt=\"\u84ee1jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" Garden, along the edge of Nishibori(west moat) in Takada Castle Site Park. \u00a0The variety is \u201cSeiko Koren\u201d. \u00a0It was discovered on the morning of July 31st, by the park manager. \u00a0\u00a0Two flowers on one stem is a mutation that appears once in every 20,000 to 30,000 lotuses. \u00a0In China, it has long been said to be a flower of good fortune, and represents a happy married life for a couple.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yukiguni-journey.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/P1280457.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" years since the Sotouren was last confirmed in Takada Castle Site Park when it was found in Kitabori (north moat).<\/p>\r\n<p><a
