A hands-on workshop of sword fighting by “Echigo No Kizarushu,” a team of sword killers based in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, will be held on Saturday, March 23 (national holiday). Participants are currently being recruited.<\/p>\r\n

Based in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, “Echigo Nokizarushu” is an organization that promotes Lord Uesugi Kenshin in and outside of the city through sword fighting. Currently, the group has nine members, who perform sword fighting performances at various events in and outside of the region.<\/p>\r\n

The workshop will be held for the first time in many years. On the day of the workshop, you will be able to experience a simple killing technique. Beginners and inexperienced performers are welcome, and the content of the experience is also geared toward beginners.<\/p>\r\n

There is no charge for participation. The target audience is high school students and older. Minors must have permission from their parents or guardians. On the day of the event, please wear comfortable clothing such as jerseys or street clothes and bring a wooden sword if you have one.<\/p>\r\n
