Some of them are tools from the Edo period.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00005.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-204380\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00005.jpg\" alt=\"Still0117_00005\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00005-400x225.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>In the section with school lunch supplies, a milk bottle lid opener is displayed for the first time; it was used about 30 to 50 years ago and was designed to prevent children from being injured by the needle at the tip.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-204378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00007.jpg\" alt=\"Still0117_00007\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00007-400x225.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>This exhibition is held every year to help elementary school students learn about history. In past years, more than 40 elementary schools from Joetsu City, Myoko City, and Itoigawa City have visited the exhibition as field trips.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-204379\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00008.jpg\" alt=\"Still0117_00008\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00008-400x225.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>Children who visited the museum<br \/>\r\nThe children said, &#8220;It was interesting to see how different things were in the past and still are today.<br \/>\r\nIt was interesting to see how things used to be made with fire, but now they are made with electricity.<br \/>\r\nIt was amazing to see the evolution of pencil cases and rice cookers. \uff08I thought that life is better now because (in the past) we couldn&#8217;t use electricity.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-204377\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00009.jpg\" alt=\"Still0117_00009\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-low-src=\"https:\/\/www.joetsu.ne.jp\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Still0117_00009-400x225.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>Joetsu City Museum of History Hanaoka Deputy Director<br \/>\r\nMr. Hanaoka said, &#8220;I think that thinking about the enjoyment of old games and the ingenuity of daily life will lead to the SDGs.
