As autumn deepened, the winter enclosure of trees began at Takada Joshi Park in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.<\/p>\r\n

Winter enclosure is the process of putting up poles and tying down trees with ropes to prevent branches and other trees from breaking under the weight of snow. On the first day, Thursday the 20th, work began on the lawn in front of the Churyotou.<\/p>\r\n

Eight people, dispatched by the park superintendent and the Silver Human Resources Center, skillfully surround the trees with bamboo. The ropes are tied in “Otoko-bari,” which is difficult to untie.<\/p>\r\n
