The flowers do not wither, but change to deep, subdued colors in the fall. This is said to be due to the climate and soil environment at an altitude of approximately 800 meters. Wreath-making events are held every year at this time of year to make the most of the unique highland hydrangeas.

During the period, the tour will be held twice a day (12 sessions in total). The cost is 2,500 yen, including hot spring bath fee. To apply for wreath making, please contact the Akakura Onsen Tourist Association at least one day in advance.

Hydrangea Wreath Making
Period: October 4 (Tue), 5 (Wed), 6 (Thu), 14 (Fri), 15 (Sat), 16 (Sun)
■Time: ① from 9:30 / ② from 10:45 *Please let us know your preference at the time of application.
