The Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line will hold the “Muikamachi Transport Control District Garage Tour & Snowshoe Tour of Maintenance Tunnels” tour on Saturday, March 5.Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications will be accepted starting at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24.<\/p>\r\n

This tour includes a visit to the garage, followed by a snowshoe walk through the snow to see the maintenance tunnels.During the tour of the maintenance tunnel and after the experience, you can take an open-air snow bath at Matsudai Shibatoge Onsen “Unkai”.<\/p>\r\n

Shigekura Tamugi Soba” Tenzaru”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In the morning, we will visit the Muikamachi Transport Control District Garage, a Hokuhoku Line garage located near Muikamachi Station. For lunch, we will go to “Shigekura Tamugi Soba” in Tokamachi and have tempura zaru soba.<\/p>\r\n

Maintenance tunnels that are normally inaccessible<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In the afternoon, we will take a bus and snowshoes from Matsudai Station to a maintenance tunnel. Here, you can experience the wind pressure of a passing train.<\/p>\r\n

Shibatoge Hot Spring “Unkai”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

At the end of the tour, you can enjoy an open-air snow bath at Shibatoge Onsen “Unkai” in Matsudai.<\/p>\r\n
