In\u00a0April 2021, the Jetfoil \u201cGinga\u201d went into service on the Ogi-Naoetsu ferry route of Sado Kisen, which connects Joetsu City and Sado City in Niigata Prefecture.\u00a0 To commemorate the launch,\u00a0 great-value experience packs that include a round-trip Jetfoil ticket for the Ogi-Naoetsu route, plus special Sado Island experiences, were created..\u00a0 Here are two recommended packs for this summer that you can experience around Ogi Port from among the 31 experience packs available on the island.<\/p>\r\n

* To use the experience pack, you need to stay at least one night on Sado Island.\u00a0 Accommodation and transportation on the island must be arranged separately.\u00a0 There are rental cars, taxis, unlimited bus rides, and electric bicycles \u00a0for transportation from Ogi Port.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

You can enjoy taiko experience at the Sado Taiko Experience Exchange Center “Tatakoukan”, which is about 10 minutes by car from Ogi Port.\u00a0 This is a special plan for a limited time, and the instructor is a member of the internationally active taiko performing arts group “Kodo” based in Sado.<\/p>\r\n

You can experience a program that makes use of Kodo’s long tradition and experience.\u00a0 In the workshop you can try various activities using taiko; you can play with the other participants and have fun!<\/p>\r\n
